Description

This 3-day Mount Shuksan ski traverse is also known as the Noonsack Traverse amd is will take you through one of the most stunning landscapes in the north of the United States.

Mount Shuksan is a beautiful glaciated massif located in the North Cascades National Park, up in the state of Washington. It’s really close to Mount Baker and also almost in the border with Canada. Its Summit is known for its three sided peak that is usually known as the Pyramid Summit.

And the main objective of the Nooksack Traverse is to climb and ski down this Pyramid Peak. But it also is designed to take you skiing some of the best powder in the States and through a beautiful scenery.

We’ll start at the Mount Baker Ski Area and descend to the White Salmon Valley. Then we’ll climb Mount Shuksan and camp right at the base of its summit. The next day we’ll climb to the summit through the Crystal Glacier and ski down!

Last, but not least, on the third day we’ll also summit the Ruth Peak and ski down its north face. From the base we’ll follow a valley to get to the  Hannagan Pass Trailhead.

So do you want to join one of our guides on this 3-day Mount Shuksan ski traverse? Send us a request now and we’ll take you on an amazing adventure you will never forget.

Guide cancelled within 48 hrs and I was unable to find someone else and so far I’ve not been refunded. Put a small dent in my otherwise great trip to Revelstoke.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!

Nate was very knowledgeable and got me to the top of mountain. He’s not as engaging as most of the guides I’ve had over the years. I’ve learned a lot about most of my climbs as guides talk about the mountain and the area maybe even plant and animals and I enjoy getting to know them better. We did talk a bit more on the way out of the trailhead. All in all a good experience. But not sure your company told him I had a knee replacement and would be slow.
