Description

Situated above the shores of Lake Garda in the foothills of the Italian Alps, Arco is home to some excellent  via ferrata options!

Over the course of our three days together, we will go over all the necessary skills to successfully climb via ferrata and try out a few classic routes surrounding this picturesque Italian town.

Our adventure begins on day one, when we will go over the basics of climbing via ferrata and make our maiden climb along the famous Colodri Via Feratta.

As we go, we’ll enjoy plenty of fantastic views before descending back down and hiking back into Arco.

On the second and third days, we will head out on several other via ferratta climbs, starting with a medium-rated one and possibly increasing the difficulty to a harder one, if the group is up for it.

Via ferrata is a great way to climb up rock surfaces that cannot be hiked and we will be rewarded with stunning views over this part of the Alps and out over Lake Garda at the end of each climb.

So what are you waiting for? Book now for a fun and informative 3-day via ferrata climbing adventure above the stunning shores of Lake Garda in Arco, Italy!

Mountain Guide

Born in the Austrian Alps, the connection to the mountains was there from early on. Started skiing as a 3 year old kid, bit later climbing and mountaineering stepped in my live. Skiing and climbing all over the Alps and abroad became a huge part of my life.

One of my favorite places in the Alps are the mountains around Chamonix and Zermatt. Since graduating as a fully-certified Mountain guide, I’ve been able to share my passion for skiing and climbing with my guests. When I’m not guiding I try to push my personal limits in climbing and mountaineering. Looking forward reaching summits together.

Daniel is a phenomenal climbing guide. Our trip was a 1-day multipitch climb in the Hochkönig region. Daniel expresses a lifetime of experience in the region and is extremely knowledgeable about the routes and rock. Given it was our first multipitch/alpine/Austria experience, Daniel provided a safe and thorough climbing experience: reviewing gear, technique, and uniquely helpful beta. We could not have asked for a better day in the mountains and climbed on some of the coolest limestone features we have ever been on. Definitely a new high point for us. Daniel is extremely personable and made it readily known that he was there to help facilitate our adventure; whether its modifying plans or changing pace, Daniel was happy to accommodate. We are thankful for having him as a guide and for all of the additional info he provided to make our tour of the Salzburg area an awesome adventure. As others have noted, we highly recommend chatting with Daniel over WhatsApp, and he was extremely helpful in learning about the many climbing areas and options around Austria.
