Aiguille de la Gliere is one the biggest peaks of the Aiguilles Rouges massif, in the Chamonix Valley. Let's go there for a rock climbing trip!
We'll take Oraison route, which has 13 pitches all together, reaching a 5c grade of difficulty (French grading system). Therefore, it's important that you know how to lead belay and also, that you can follow (not lead but second) up to 5c or 6a grade.
We'll meet at the bottom of Index lift station (in Flegere) and go up on the first lift. Then, we'll approach the route on a long and exciting hike.
After the climb, we'll return to the same point at around 2.30 PM or 3.30 PM.
Please, let me know if you'd like to join this rock climbing trip! We can set a date between 27 July and 8 August.
In case you're looking for shorter and slightly easier routes, you can check this multi-pitch climbing trip in Mani Puliti route, also in Aiguille de la Gliere.

Mountain Guide
I am an IFMGA mountain guide as well as a specialist in mountain rescue. As a guide, I constantly work towards increasing the standards of mountaineering skills in Japan with an emphasis on risk and safety management, whilst training and coaching mountaineering clubs and rescue teams.
I started climbing in my 20s, and since then have enjoyed all-round mountain activities including alpine climbing in Mt Tanigawa (on which I’ve climbed over 360 times), Hodaka, Tsurugi areas as well as rock climbing, ice climbing, ski mountaineering, sawanobori, and high altitude climbing in the Himalayas.
In addition to numerous and notable climbs in Japan, I have an extensive climbing experiences abroad both personal and for guiding; in the Himalayas (Lotse etc.), Eiger, Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Grands Jorasses north face, and New Zealand (Aspiring, Cook).
My current interest is in training people mountain skills in order for them to enjoy the mountains better and in a safer manner. I run a mountain guide academy where I have been training future mountain guides with a strong focus on safety and elimination of accidents for a number of years. At the same time, I very much enjoy teaching and running skills courses for beginners who are just getting into the mountains but are keen on learning and/ or improving their skills for their next project.
Please contact me if you’re looking for a guide to train you to accomplish your dream project, to help you progress in your mountain skills, or to help you gain introductory skills for first time mountaineering / ice climbing / rock climbing / ski mountaineering! I’d be very happy to assist you to achieve your wishes!!

We had an amazing experience learning basic mountaineering with Kenichi. Since we weren’t familiar with winter and snowy landscapes, having him as our guide made all the difference. He was incredibly detailed and attentive the entire time - not only teaching us how to walk safely on snow and survive in winter conditions, but also showing us how to properly organize our gear and make the most of life in a mountain hut. His discipline, knowledge, and professionalism were beyond our expectations. Kenichi constantly watched out for us, patiently correcting our mistakes as we went, which helped us improve quickly and feel much more confident. At the same time, the whole experience was genuinely fun. We learned so much and enjoyed every moment. Loveeeee it - 10 stars! Highly recommended 🥰
