Come join me on this 5-day rock climbing course and discover the joys and challenges of high mountain climbing. For safety reasons, and for you to profit from the learning experience, a maximum of two people per group is allowed.
The Aiguilles Rouges offer beautiful rock walls but also allow climbers to enjoy some autonomy. Being in very good physical condition and having considerable climbing experience (5c level) are pre-requisites for the trip.
Moreover, during this 5-day rock climbing course we’ll follow in Rébuffat’s footsteps. In the French Pre-Alps and opposite to the Mont Blanc Massif, the Aiguilles Rouges offer stunning views of the surrounding landscape. They are also home to Chamonix’s main climbing crags, made famous by mountaineer Gaston Rébuffat.
This course runs every week, starting on Mondays, from June to September. During this 5-day course you will learn to climb long routes (over 200 meters). You will also have the chance to learn and practice your high mountain climbing skills in complete safety.
On day 1, we will meet at Chamonix and spend the morning on a granite wall. On day 2, we will take on the Aiguilles Rouges great classic: the Aiguille de la Glière. Day 3 is reserved for the Perroux route on Aiguille de l’Index, where you will climb first rope. On days 4 and 5 we will climb the Cocher Cochon route and the Rieffel/Fournier route on the Pain de Sucre.
I am a IFMGA/UIAGM-certified mountain guide based in La Clusaz and Chamonix. Apart from French, I also speak Spanish and English.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to practice your rock climbing skills and discover the high mountain in the beautiful Aiguilles Rouges! This 5-day course will open the door to new climbing experiences and will prepare you for great challenges. Contact me and book your place!
