Charlotte Dome “South Face”, Technical climbing in Kings Canyon National Park, CA (2 days)

Filled with hundreds of variations, the South Face of the Charlotte Dome is an exciting place to climb. And, during this 2-day trip, you will have plenty of opportunity to climb the Dome to your heart’s content.

Located in the Kings Canyon National Park, in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California, the Charlotte Dome is absolutely stunning. Similar to the Tuolumne Meadows, the Dome’s long, smooth faces can be initially very intimidating, as they don’t look climbable. However, you can rest assured that there are plenty of knobs and texture that will make climbing the Dome not only possible, but exciting and fun, too. Furthermore, the Charlotte Dome is surrounded by gorgeous wilderness. As a result, throughout your climbing, you will get to enjoy some lovely views.

Participants on this trip should have solid rock climbing skills. You should also know how to tie proper knots and how to belay. If you have prior experience climbing at altitude that is very advantageous. Finally, all participants on this trip must be in excellent physical condition.
