Equipment you will need to bring

Equipment rent on site

You will need to bring your own personal equipment for this trip. A 20–30 litre backpack is ideal for carrying essentials. Make sure to pack a waterproof jacket, a lightweight down jacket, and water-repellent or rain pants, along with thermal underwear and a spare shirt for layering. Don’t forget a warm hat or headband, a sun hat, and thin gloves with a good grip. Protection from the elements is key, so bring SPF 30+ sunscreen, lip balm, and sunglasses.

For comfort and safety, carry adjustable trekking poles, a small sheet bag (silk or cotton), a headlamp, and a water bottle (1–2 litres) with snacks such as energy bars or dried fruit. Sturdy, ankle-high waterproof mountain boots (category B or C) are essential, and depending on conditions, you may also need a rain cover for your pack and gaiters.

Useful extras include magnesium and headache tablets, a toiletry kit with a brush and small towel, your alpine club card (if available), and some cash for the huts.

For the technical part of the trip, you will need crampons, a harness, and a climbing helmet (marked with * if you prefer to rent them).
