Head to the Aosta Valley for the family adventure of a lifetime on a two-day program filled with twists and turns – and climbs! This guided trekking and climbing program in the heart of the Pennine Alps takes place in one of Italy’s most fascinating regions, featuring amazing geology and a rich history that is sure to please the entire group!

In the northwest of Italy, bordering France and Italy, the Aosta Valley has become synonymous with Alpine culture. It sits below some of the most infamous peaks of Europe – Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, and the Matterhorn – and is the highest part of Italy. This has cultivated the mountainous identity of the valley that makes it an exhilarating destination for hiking, climbing, mountaineering, and skiing.

This program is the perfect way to break into Aosta Valley, serving up two dynamic days of activities including climbing and trekking. An overnight in a true mountain refuge, the Arp Refuge, brings the whole trip together and is sure to satisfy the greenhorns and veterans alike.

We will meet in Brusson or Estoul Village and spend our first day trekking to the refuge. The trail is accommodating to all groups and provides a captivating trek throughout the journey. It is even accessible by car should it be necessary. Both meeting points provide seamless travel to the refuge and are equally manageable.

Once we reach the refuge, we will explore the area surrounding it, which includes clear lakes – such as Valfredda Lake and Lake Coliou – and is within walking distance of safe and fun climbing cliffs. These rocks are a perfect mix of thrill and ease so every member of the group can take part. You will enjoy evocative views as you make your way up manageable slabs of Alpine rock. The equipment is included, so just bring your passion for climbing and you will have an absolute blast.

After a night in the charming refuge, you will hike to Battle Lake, the largest of the Palasinaz Lakes. It is a delightful excursion, immersing you in the forests and mountain pastures of the valley. The culture behind the unforgettable scenery is just as compelling. Incomparable vistas will accompany you every step of the way, and the trail is never too difficult. This is an adventure the whole family will love.

If you feel like two days isn’t enough, we can certainly add on more days to your program. We can include Champoluc or Saint Jacques, which would feature a simple transfer and an additional night in an all new refuge – Ferraro Refuge. From there, you can expect an enchanting trek to Blu Lake or even to the cross at Palon de Resy and its outstanding mountain views.

An alternative trip can also include Valpelline. A night in the Crete Seche Refuge will allow us another day of great climbing, and the abundance of Alpine lakes throughout the region makes a walk in any direction a pleasant trek just waiting for you. The options are endless, so let me know what you want from your trip and I can tailor it to fit you and your group. We can come up with a trip length and itinerary that works best for your schedule and plans.

This program is perfect for everyone, from first-time pioneers to weathered journeymen. We will have a safe, satisfying, and all-around fun time while taking on the immense – and immensely spectacular – Aosta Valley. If you want to build on your passion for the outdoors, this is the place for you.

Book this program in the unforgettable Aosta Valley NOW to spend two or more days trekking and climbing through Ayas and one of the most fascinating areas of Italy and Europe!

Mont Blanc, Matterhorn, Dufourspitze, Pyramide Vincent and Regina Margherita Hut, Gran Paradiso, Breithorn, Lyskamm, Castor and Pollux are only a few of several 4000 Alps summits you can climb with us: most of our team of Guides were born and grew up close to these mountains and they have explored the ascent routes several times during different seasons, with skis or crampons!

My friends and I truly enjoyed the la Vallée Blanche ski descente. We were guided by a competent and friendly guide, Marco Bernardini. There was a bit of confusion ahead of the trip as we had to fill a very extensive consent form. We would also have appreciated to get more information about the stair climb at the end of the descente prior to the trip. Luckily we carried our sport shoes so we did not have to walk up in our ski boots. We were also not made aware beforehand that we had to walk quite a long distance from the train to the bus station in Chamonix.

We had 3 fantastic days with Elis in the mountains. The snow condition was not great so we focused on touring, exploring beautiful areas in very diverse settings. Elis was very nice and creative, we are looking forward to our next trip with him! E-S team was as always of great support finding us the perfect guide for the group and supporting in a great way the organization of the trip.

I was a bit unsure on using explore share because I was unfamiliar with the company and they act as a buffer between you and the guide provider. The experience with explore share was very good, they did exactly what was set out and I was put in touch with the guide provider after I paid the deposit. It would be nice if explore share provided some additional narrative or evidence that the guide you are booking with was legitimate and not a scam. I checked this out myself before booking however that was where the uncertainty came from. Overall great service and great experience. Would use again.

We had a great experience with Peakshunter. However, we agreed on a all inclusive tour through explore-share, but appearantly E-S made an offer without consulting the guides first. A couple of days before departure we were confronted with extra costs. We had no other option than to pay these extras, and Explore Share did not intervene. Next time we´ll organise everything with the guides directly, without the middle man...
