Description

The Massif des Calanques is a wild and rugged terrain situated on the outskirts of Marseilles, France. Spanning 20km toward Cassis, it is one the most famous natural beauties in the country and an essential destination for rock climbing lovers. In this trip I propose you to climb its best advanced routes under my expert guidance.

Les Calanques is divided into six main areas and offers a total of 2500 bolted routes and more than 1000 traditional routes. The style of the climbing spots is varied: technical slabs, steep overhangs in caves, multi-pitch and single pitches routes on the sea’s edge.

In this outing we are going directly to the routes for advanced rock climbers. I can take you to some classics routes of Calanques, such as The Future Croulants or Calanque of Eissadon. Other options can be Bora Bora, an exceptional spot with panoramic views from Luminy to Cap Canaille, and Traversée Sans Retour (“Crossing without return” in French), an amazing 5-hours route.

The limestone massif of Les Calanques is marked by the impressive crystal blue waters of the French Mediterranean. Upon on the rocks you will enjoy breathtaking views of a unique natural beauty.

So, if you want to climb the beautiful limestone rocks of Les Calanques and enjoy its beautiful landscape, contact me! I’m sure you are going to have an unforgettable adventure.

Anf if you are not an advanced climber, don’t worry! You should check out my Les Calanques rock climbing day tours for beginners.

Very nice trip. The via ferrate was not very difficult. We could finish it in about 1hour and a half. The remaining time we did another (small, slightly more difficult) via ferrata and some climbing. Great guide.

Pont-à-Lesse via ferrata is gorgeous, and Willy is the best guide one can wish for: very knowledgeable and calm. This was my very first ferrata, and Willy helped me feel and be safe. Many thanks!

Such a great way to experience climbing in another country/area! Ivan was my climbing guide and he was super knowledgable and supportive. We went through warm ups, stretches, and best falling practices before we began. I'm an intermediate climber and I learned a lot and felt very safe! He even showed me exercises that could help improve my technique. I'm super grateful I booked through explore-share and plan to do so again when I'm traveling!

We had a great day with Leo. He drove us to a spot with many problems from easy to hard. He was super supportive and positive and gave excellent coaching and climbing advice. He didn't just give beta but really worked with us on the subtle techniques necessary at Fontainebleau.

Petit couac pendant l'organisation, mais tout est rentré dans l'ordre et c'est très bien passé au final
