Are you looking for an exciting trek in the Andes? Then join me for this 2-day adventure and discover Plaza Francia, an amazing spot in Aconcagua!
Aconcagua (6960m), in the Province of Mendoza, Argentina, is the highest peak of the Americas. Bound by the De las Vacas and De los Horcones valleys, the mountain and its surroundings are part of the Aconcagua Provincial Park.
On this 2-day trek, we will reach Plaza Francia, at the base of Aconcagua’s South Wall, with its 3000 vertical meters covered by huge glaciers! After meeting in Mendoza City, I will transfer you to the Aconcagua Provincial Park where the adventure begins. On the first day, we will hike to Confluencia (3400m), the first Aconcagua Camp. There, we will spend the night in a tent, surrounded by the fabulous mountains of the Andes! The next day, a 5-hour trek to Plaza Francia awaits. We will cross a unique landscape before reaching this popular hiking destination.
Because the trail has a medium level of difficulty, you don’t need to be an expert hiker for this outing. However, you do need a good fitness level to face the high altitudes. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way.
So, if you are up for an awesome hiking experience in Aconcagua, please get in touch with me. Let me guide you to the beautiful Plaza Francia!
And if you are looking for a longer adventure in the area, check out my 3-day Trek in Vallecitos (Cordon del Plata).

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
