Spend an evening under the stars and above the Mediterranean in the unforgettable Calanques! Take a day to rock climb across the south of France and to enjoy a  a sunset from a portaledge!

The Massif des Calanques (or Calanques) in the south of France, located along the coast from Marseille to Cassis, is a rock climbing paradise. The small massif predominantly made of limestone overlooks the Mediterranean Sea, combining the highest levels of aesthetics with fun and exciting fitness.

It´s location makes it easily accessible from Marseille, and is a popular destination for worldwide travelers. Each section of the Calanques has its own unique formation, its own crevices, and its own secret delights. There are many great climbing spots along the massif.

Our program in the Calanques will focus on giving you an unforgettable climbing day that is followed by a charming evening between the sea and the sky. Wake up to the waves below, allowing the sound of the Mediterranean to coax you out of bed. It is a serene environment that gives you an adrenaline rush from such a rare and fulfilling experience.

Let me manage everything up for you – I will set up the logistics, including preparing the portaledge, so you can spend the night along the gorgeous cliffs. Of course, you will have ample opportunity to climb these walls, as well. There are routes for everyone, from beginner pitches to advanced climbs.

The south of France is my home, and I am always excited to help others learn about the Calanques. I can ensure a safe and satisfying way to complete an exciting and adventurous activity. There are many great places to hang for the night, so let me know what you are looking for and we can set up a trip designed for you.

This program is great for tourists and travelers who are looking for something a little more special from their adventure. Any climbing experience is helpful, but the main highlight of the program is an evening beneath the stars above the crashing Mediterranean waves.

Book this AMAZING climbing program NOW and hang out along the Calanques and the Mediterranean Sea!

I can also take you to Sainte-Victoire for a rock climbing day! Or we can stick to the Calanques and climb the cliffs on a Sans Retour traverse!

About the guide

Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide. Growing up in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, the Alps have been my playground since a very young age. Amazing climbing spots like the Calanques and Gorges du Verdon were just a stone throw's away from my hometown.

Eventually, I also became an architect, another long-time passion. As an architect, I lived in New York, Barcelona and Rotterdam and learned to speak fluent English and Spanish. I also met great people and had an amazing time while doing it!

I'm now back home in France and spend most of my time guiding in the Alps. I'll be happy to take you rock climbing, skiing or mountaineering to some of my favorite spots.
