Valle del Mosquito ski touring day in El Chalten, Patagonia Sur

For a full day, I would like to take you ski touring in the stunning and fun Mosquito Valley in El Chalten, Argentina.

Located in southern Patagonia, the Mosquito Valley is home to some great skiing spots. And, because it is only 25 kilometers from El Chalten, it is also very convenient to get to.

Since there are so many available slopes in the valley, this trip is ideal for both less experienced skiers and expert skiers looking for a challenging ski touring experience.

The day before the trip begins, we will meet in El Chalten and discuss some final details. We will also perform an equipment check to ensure you have everything you need.

On the day of the trip, we will leave early in the morning. We will drive for approximately 45 minutes to the parking lot next to the Mosquito Creek Bridge. Once there, we will trek for approximately 300 meters before putting on our skis and crossing the North Face until we reach La Teta. From there, you will get to spend the day skiing from the north, south or east from the valley’s main summit.

Participants on this trip should be in good physical condition. You should also have prior ski touring experience as well.
