Description

Are you on the look for your first rock climbing 4000er in the Alps? Or maybe you are already an experienced climber in search for new summits? Join me on this 2-day Lagginhorn ascent (4,010 m), for a memorable mountain experience.

Lagginhorn is located in the Saas Valley (or Saastal), in the Swiss province of Wallis. Our Normal Route ascent starts off at Saas Grund (1,565 m). At 2,726 m we will find the Weissmies hut.

The next day we will aim for the summit (4,010 m). From the Weissmies hut the route is pretty straightforward, with Lagginhorn always in sight.

This is considered as an “easy” climb among the Alpine “82 4000ers”. It is certainly a technically affordable ascent. Yet, it is still demanding, as it involves glacier and snow segments, although no crevasses. The Lagginhorn climb is also sometimes pursued in preparation for more demanding ascents.

On this program, I will take groups of up to 2 climbers. Guests will need to know how to use crampons, and bring along boots suitable for crampons.

Very user friendly platform with timely responses from Explore Share representatives. The trip itself with Tom from Alps Adventures was awesome and ensure that we had an experience that was 100% what we wanted. Recommend both the platform and the guide. Thanks to all for arranging and delivering so well.

I had am amazing time during the 1-day off-piste training course at Hoch-Ybrig. Urs, our main mountain guide, was very helpful in answering my queries before the course, and Lupe from explore-share was helpful in selecting the course. We had 3 groups under Urs, Mario and Patrick, and I was in the group with Patrick. He gave us a lot of nice tips and individualized video analysis. He made a special effort to convey everything in English, since I don't know German. All the participants were very helpful and friendly too! The course is good value for money as skis are included for the weekend in the course price.
