Highlights

Gorges du Verdon is the perfect spot to do some climbing outside the high season. I generally take my clients here during Autumn and Spring to avoid the big crowds and high temperatures of the summer months.

I’m sure you’ll have a memorable experience at Gorges du Verdon. The Verdon canyon is around 25 km long and up to 700m deep. Its limestone walls are famous among rock climbers. They have made a name for this place as a multi-pitch climbing hotspot.

We’ll be climbing walls that are 250-300m long. In Gorges du Verdon, you start from the top, by abseiling down the wall towards the water, and only then you climb up. This requires some mental preparation.

I can take a maximum of 4 people with me for everybody to take advantage of the learning experience. I take the time to coach my clients so you can expect to see some significant improvements after our time together in Verdon.

If these 2 days in this gorgeous area sound like a good plan, contact me know. I’ll be happy to be your guide! I know this area really well and will take you to all my favorite spots.

Also, don’t hesitate to check out some of my other rock climbing trips in southern France. I can even take you climbing during the winter to the Calanques, near Marseille.

    About the Guide

Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide. Growing up in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, the Alps have been my playground since a very young age. Amazing climbing spots like the Calanques and Gorges du Verdon were just a stone throw's away from my hometown.

Eventually, I also became an architect, another long-time passion. As an architect, I lived in New York, Barcelona and Rotterdam and learned to speak fluent English and Spanish. I also met great people and had an amazing time while doing it!

I'm now back home in France and spend most of my time guiding in the Alps. I'll be happy to take you rock climbing, skiing or mountaineering to some of my favorite spots.

Max took us on an amazing route in the Verdon and we had a fantastic day. He also helped us refreshed our multi-pitching skills so gave us the confidence to do routes ourselves after the guided climb. Thanks!
