Highlights

This 2-day sport climbing program in the Ecrins National Park, in southern France, is perfect for those wishing to improve their technical skills in the company of a professional mountain guide and avid rock climber.

The Ecrins has several rock climbing spots that are perfect for the summer season. Because of their altitude, it doesn’t get as hot as in other venues in southern France.

During this 2-day rock climbing tour, I’ll take you to some of my favorite spots in the Ecrins. I’m originally from this region and have been climbing here since I was a kid. We’ll be climbing on both granite and limestone walls.

The spots I like to climb the most include :

We can set our base in Guillestre or Mont-Dauphin and from there access these amazing walls.

Also, depending on your wishes and level, we’ll do both single-pitch and multi-pitch climbs.

I will help you progress, improve your technic and support you in reaching the next climbing level. Coaching my friends and clients, that’s what I enjoy the most in my job!

If you’re interested, we could also combine these 2 days of rock climbing, with an extra day of hiking. That way, you’ll get to know this stunning national park a little better.

Apart from the great weather and high-quality rock, the Ecrins offers amazing scenery, with snow-capped summits and alpine forests. It provides a real mountaineering atmosphere.

Interested in joining me on these 2 days of pure fun and excitement? Then contact me now and I’ll be glad to show you around the Ecrins while helping you improve your climbing skills.

I also offer a 2-day rock climbing program in the Calanques, near Marseille. Check it out as well!

    About the Guide

Even as a kid, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide. Growing up in Aix-en-Provence, in southern France, the Alps have been my playground since a very young age. Amazing climbing spots like the Calanques and Gorges du Verdon were just a stone throw's away from my hometown.

Eventually, I also became an architect, another long-time passion. As an architect, I lived in New York, Barcelona and Rotterdam and learned to speak fluent English and Spanish. I also met great people and had an amazing time while doing it!

I'm now back home in France and spend most of my time guiding in the Alps. I'll be happy to take you rock climbing, skiing or mountaineering to some of my favorite spots.

What People are Saying about Maxence Horvath

Maxence was absolutely great! Super friendly and knowledgeable. With very little back and forth he was able to plan a perfect climbing day trip for us, including our first multi-pitch climb (and all of this was actually a backup plan, since the area we were going climbing was closed due to high winds). I look forward to going climbing again in Calanque and would not hesitate to book him again!!

Max was an AMAZING guide! He was super knowledgeable and was willing to teach us new climbing techniques. Not only did I have fun climbing outdoors, but I learned how to climb better outside. I highly recommend this trip! You won´t be disappointed!
