The ascent of Lagginhorn (4010m) is the perfect option if you want to try summiting a not so technical four-thousander. We will ascend this peak of the Pennine Alps, in Switzerland, through the west ridge. It is also called the normal route.
This ascent will take 2 days. We’ll meet in Saas Grund in the mid-morning. During this first day we’ll go up to the Weissmies hut (2726m). Then, the second day will be summit day!
The difficulty level of this ascent is medium, which is a big plus if you don’t have so much experience. In fact, the West ridge of Lagginhorn is a great option if you are looking for your first four-thousander rock climbing ascent.
The top reasons why I like guiding my friends and clients up there are:
– An aesthetic line
– A technically affordable ascent
– A great training for more demanding tours
Want to try this ascent with me? Then don’t hesitate to send me a request, I would love to take you up there!
