Description

Located in South-Eastern France, Les Gorges du Verdon is considered a fascinating destination for all type of rock climbers. In this tour I will take you to the best spots for beginners, to teach you the basic climbing skills or help you to improve them.

Gorges du Verdon has the most beautiful cliffs in Europe. The area offers more than 1,500 routes on good limestone rock. Some of them are introductory paths, perfect to learn pitch climbing.

We can head up any of my favourites routes for beginners. “Adieu Zidane” is a modern and easy line on a small and isolated colored and carved rock, with steep areas. L’offre is a historic route, inaugurated in 1969, offering a classic, varied and comfortable climb, ideal to get into the world of rock climbing.

The turquoise-green color of the Verdon River contrasts with the perfect limestone rock of the cliffs. All the climbing routes share incredible views, so you will enjoy amazing natural landscapes while climbing.

So, if you want to climb on the exceptional rocks of Gorges du Verdon, contact me! I’ll be glad to guide in this area that I know Very well.

And if you want to try another of the classical French climbing spots, take a look at my Les Calanques rock climbing day tours for beginners.

About the guide

I was born in 1990 and I am based in Toulon. I am a high mountain guide and photographer. I started loving climbing during my youth, and I later discovered alpinism. This took me to visit many paths in the Alps, as well as expeditions. At the same time, I became a high mountain guide when I was 24 because I loved it and wanted to share my passion.
I like to travel and I offer my services in the French massifs (Mercantour, Hautes Alpes, Chamonix) and abroad (Switzerland, Italy) all year long. I will do my best to enrich your journey with my experience and to guide you to reach you dream summit.

Climbing w Robin in the Gorges Verdon area was a dream come true. Robin is a fun guide to be with. He's very knowledgeable of the routes very safe in his practice and a very strong climber who makes it look easy. We did 2 long multi pitch routes that make me want to come back again and bring my friends.

The trip with Robin was awesome! I didn't have a car, so he provided transportation to and back from the climbing spots, which is really nice. The weather in Verdon was not good during the trip, so we ended up climbing some beautiful routes in les Calanques and Cap Canaille. Robin knows the area and the routes well, so he selected the ones that was within my ability but also felt challenging. Robin also took a lot of nice photos along the way, introduced and explained the routes/backgrounds, and helped me feel more comfortable climbing multi-pitch routes (this was my first time). I highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants to experience the beauty of south of France from a couple hundreds meters up.

The climb with Robin was amazing. We were a group of 3 and he picked us up at the bus station since we didn't have a car. He took us on the route de Cretes which is beautiful, and then climbed les Calanques. The day was perfect and the view was mesmerizing. At the end, he dropped us off at the city center of Cassis since we luckily had the time to visit it. I would definitely recommend the guide, who watched over us and is friendly, and the route which was so beautiful!
