The charming village of Orpierre is at the center of many limestone cliffs, perfect for rock climbing. We can find walls from 30 to 180 meters high, where we can practice both multi-pitch and single-pitch climbing. Besides, the inclination range is very vast.
Throughout the years, the village has become one of the main rock climbing destinations in France. This was due to the quality and equipment of the rock. Also, the climbing options are extremely varied and the mild climate allows for a very long climbing season.
Orpierre is located at the croassroads of three French departments. They are Drôme Provençale, Alpes de Haute-Provence and Hautes-Alpes du Sud.
There are over 600 climbing routes, thus offering many options for all tastes and levels. Whether you are looking for slabs, vertical walls, sports routes or multi-pitch routes, you'll find it here!
I will adapt the program depending on the experience and wishes of the participants. Indeed, we can cover an initiation and improvement of safety techniques on the wall, practice on sport routes or multi-pitch routes, learn coaching technique…
I really like guiding my friends and clients there because:
– The rock and equipment are high quality
– It's ideal to discover multi-pitch routes
– It's a wonderful initiation and improvement site.
Want to join me in the discovery of the Orpierre rocks? Then please send me a request so we can explore these walls together. In France, I also love rock climbing in Cerces and Ecrins, check it out!
