Alps

3 Days

Jun - Sep

Description

Fanatics of mountaineering, come with me to this magnificent 3-day trip to explore the Brouillard Ridge in the Italian Alps! Our expedition will imply a great challenge but an even greater reward for your eyes and mind.

The Italian part of the Alps abounds with high peaks. If you join me in this trip, we will ascend via de Brouillard Ridge, which will finally take us to the Mont Blanc’s summit.

This Ridge and the Peuterey one are the longest climbing tracks to the mountain’s peak.

Throughout our journey, we will have the chance of passing amid rock and ice. And also, you will enjoy the best views of the Alps from the insides of this ancient mountain range.

The mountaineering expedition is quite challenging. For this reason, if you want to sign up you have to be in optimal physical conditions.

In addition, you must be trained enough to climb upwards –and then descend- for around 10 hours a day.

On the second day, we will both ascend and descend until we reach the peak of Mont Brouillard, at 4069 meters.

We will traverse and climb other ridges and finally we will get to our awaited summit: the Mont Blanc’s at 4810 meters.

I will be your guide during these 3 days. The expedition to the Brouillard Ridge is strictly personalised. This means that no groups are accepted, each guide will accompany only one person.

You will have the chance of sleeping both in high-altitude huts and mountain camps.

So, come, adventure yourself and join me in this mountaineering tour adventure to Brouillard Ridge and I guarantee you will get to see astonishing mountain landscapes.  I’ll be waiting for your contact. It will be a great pleasure to guide you through this courageous but rewarding adventure across the Italian Alps.

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure and ascent to Col du Brouillard

We will meet at the cable car station, talk about the schedule of our trip and set off to Veny Valley. From Plan Veny, at 1560 meters, we will traverse through the Lago delle Marmotte path until reaching Miage Glacier.  We will encounter UIAA grade II and III mountaineering sections of ridges to the Col du Brouillard where we will camp to spend the night.

Day 2: Continue ascent through Brouillard and reach Mont Blanc’s peak

We will start ascending early in the morning following a ridge up to Punta Baretti at 4006 meters. Then, we will keep on ascending until reaching Mont Brouillard’s peak at 4069 meters. Here, we will take some parts to descend and ascend again up to Picco Luigi Amedeo at 4470 meters. Finally, we will follow a ridge which will take us to Mont Blanc’s summit.

Day 3: Stopover at Goûter Hut and descent

After reaching the Goûter side the previous day, a good idea it to do a stopover here before taking off to descend.

I had two guides, with Livio we summited Pollux as acclimatization part of 4 days trip, and Marco as a guide fir summiting of Matterhorn. Both guides are very acknowledged, experienced and real professional guides. They were predicted any dangerous situations, keep eyes on every step of client. My rate is 6+ from 5.

The guide was great, the trip was great. There's still a bit lacking on the organisers side. They have improved a lot, so they will get there in the end.

Great guide and tour. We were, however looking for a way more educational glacier tour, focussing on technique, safety, rescuing from crevasses etc. This was also what we requested, and this tour was then suggested by you.
