Description

This unique 10-day mountaineering holiday will allow you to discover some of the most stunning peaks in the Ala Archa National Park in the Tian Shan Range in Kyrgyzstan.

The program starts and ends in Bishkek, which is nearby and makes logistics simple. Furthermore, the area boasts a wide variety of routes for different levels of training, which makes it very attractive for mountaineering. We will stay in a mountain hut that has quick access to all the mountaineering spots that we will visit. You will also have the chance to practice your ice technique and try yourself on ice routes of varying degrees of difficuly, from 6 to 20 pitches.

The incredible granite peaks and the shining ice of Ala Archa will not leave you indifferent.

For lovers of rock climbing, there are quite simple scenic ridges and a large selection of more complex rock routes. The nearest rocks for training are located 20 meters from the mountain hut.

Each day we will focus on a different spot and a different aspect, and we will have some chances to train and to practice. You can find a detailed day by day itinerary below.

All levels are welcome to join this mountaineering holiday. The average maximum ascents per day are about 1000m. Of course, you will need an excellent fitness level and experience trekking in the mountains.

The price does not include meals and insurance. As well as the cost of accommodation and meals in Bishkek.


Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel in Bishkek.

Day 2: Ala Archa National Park and Warm-up

Departure to Ala Archa National Nature Park and ascent to the mountain hut (4-6 hours). After the rest, a simple workout on the rocks next to the hut.

Day 3: Training on the rocks

Day 4: Classes on the glacier (using an ice axe and crampons, ice climbing)

Day 5: Climbing Ratsek Peak (3972m). A beautiful panoramic peak of the area.

Day 6: Climbing Box Peak (4298m).

Day 7: Transfer to the Crown Hut. Rest the rest of the day before climbing.

Day 8: Iziskatel peak (4570 m) or Korona Peak (4810 m)

Ascent to the Iziskatel peak (4570 m) or Korona Peak (4810 m), depending on the conditions of the routes.

Day 9: Descent from a mountain hut to Bishkek

Day 10: Transfer to the airport

About the guide

Mountains are an important part of my life. All my interests in life are somehow connected with mountains. I have been working with people in the mountains since 2013. From the very beginning as a mountaineering and downhill skiing instructor, and since 2020 as a licensed mountain guide. I work on mountaineering, freeride and ski tourism programs. I live in Kyrgyzstan, but I work in different mountain regions, depending on the season.
